Project Jeep
Part Six:  Roadworthy
Finally - the first drive since the rebuild!  We installed the follwoing new parts:  carburator, starter, ignition, steering box and complete steering assembly including stabilizer bar, tie rods, ball joints, and knuckle.  A new sending unit and distributor.  Then off to George to get an alignment.  The transmission wouldn't shift properly so we rebuilt the top end and shipped the rest of it off.

Ready to roll out!

Caught up by a train on the way to the alignment shop.

We were especially pleased with the dashboard.  All the guages and the steering wheel are original.

My friend Philip built me a custom rear bumper with incredibly bright lights and a trailer ball.
